ROLE Industrial Design
SUMMARY During the summer of 2018, I had the opportunity to do an industrial design internship with Fujifilm Sonosite in Bothell, WA. During the 3 months I was there, I learned about point of care medical devices and how important every design decision is for products that live in this space. Everything has a reason why it was designed the way it was. My focus was to redesign the probe holders with more consideration for both the users and the environment. The solution, a redesigned holder with geometry changes to maximize efficiency and offer a cleaner solution for parts that had been previously overlooked.
